L’artista cerca (e trova) la bellezza non ovvia, quella rintracciabile solo ad uno sguardo più approfondito, la bellezza sublime che non ci si aspetta di incontrare. Nel mondo 2.0 David Maisel ci permette di stupirci di fronte a qualcosa di già visto, facendoci intuire che spesso il rinnovamento è dentro al nostro sguardo.

On the November issue of Marie Claire there's an article about David Maisel, a US photographer that is working on the research of a new found beauty.
Maisel's works have charming names and they bring us the chance to give a renewed look on objects and view that we already know: from History's Shadow where x-rays of ancient art objects are presented as photos, to Terminal Mirage where aerial perspective makes the landscape look like a psichedelic palette of colors. The artist searches (and find) the uncommon beauty, the one you can recognize with a second look, the sublime beauty that you don't expect. In our 2.0 world, David Maisel leaves us astonished before something we've already seen before, and letting us guess that often renovation is within our look.
